The snorkeling in Puerto Rico, in our experience, has been great. We’ve seen so many different types of fish!
Some of the fish we have seen have been shinny and blue. I’m not sure what the specific name of that certain type of fish is but there were a bunch of them and they were really pretty to watch. There were also many silver fish that kept reflecting sunlight. We saw a variety of fish types that I do know the name of; some of them being the numerous parrotfish, a scorpionfish (which was quite surprising), a bunch of triggerfish, and a porcupine fish that went into hiding as soon as we noticed it. We also saw my first sea turtle sighting here in Puerto Rico, it was a large one too!
While the pretty fish are an upside, losing things is a downside. Last time we went snorkeling we lost at least three things. We recovered one of the items, the flag that went on our little floaty that signals to boats and wingers that “there are snorkelers here”. The other things we lost were a clip for the floaty, and surprisingly the back of Mommy’s flipper. She had to swim back to shore with only one flipper the other I carried.
We also found a bunch of pretty cool coral formations. With one of them we all tried to go under it and Daddy, Jack and I all got scraped up on one part of the coral or another.
On our second time snorkeling we tried to take a family picture and we all twisted and did something different then each other so we had to take another picture but before we did we had to practice what we were going to do.
So far we are experiencing a great time in Puerto Rico!
What an adventure
