While staying in Baja we took an opportunity to explore La Valle de Los Gigantes. This area outside our town of San Felipe is known as being the only area where the Cardón cacti grow.
The Cardón cacti are related to Saguaros, but grow much larger. We had a great time wandering through the giants until I almost stepped on a rattlesnake. Luckily, the rattlesnake was paying attention and moved away from me before we shared a space.
We had a fun time away from the beach, but I’m glad to get back to a snake free zone for a little while!
