Moving Day

When we leave a spot there are certain things I have to do. The first thing I have to do is pack up my room. I always start by taking the bins out from under my bed. Then I take the sheets off of my mattress and fold up the mattress and bed. After that I stack the bins in front of Aleah’s and my dresser. Once that’s done, I fold my blankets and put them on top of everything. Aleah has much less to do when we move because her room doesn’t change sizes, so all she has to do is make sure that nothing fragile is by the edge of her loft.

Dad definitely has the most to do out of any of us when we move. He has to pump the sewage, disconnect the water and electricity, take out or bring up the supports and hitch up the truck to the RV. Before we move, the slides have to go in, and we have to be very careful about that.

The previous owner wasn’t careful once when bringing in my slide, and as a result the bathroom door handle in my room is all kinds it of messed up. The guy left the bathroom door open and the slide caught the handle and it was almost ripped out of the door. Fortunately for us that has not happened yet.

  1. I love to hear about this aspect of the trip. So the drawers next to your bed are for both you and Aleah?
