Today, we pulled into the port of Kahului and wasted no time in starting our adventure. After renting a car, we headed straight to Haleakalā National Park. We stopped at both visitor centers, where we learned about the park’s unique features—like the amazing silversword plant, which only blooms once in its life before it dies.
