We are making our way north for the summer and our first stop without our RV is West River Farm in beautiful West River, Maryland. The farm is home to our great friends, the Daigles, and a family get together was long overdue.
We have enjoyed days of sunshine and catching up, hours on the water, OneWheel riding, and learning about farm chores.
Our visit coincided with the Blue Angles air show for the Naval Academy graduation and we had a front row seat to watch it from the water.
The boys loved the OneWheel and all learned to ride it quickly! I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some new transportation options on the farm in the near future.
Unfortunately our visit together was cut short because Jeff has finally finished his Coast Guard career and the family headed off for an amazing trip to celebrate his accomplishments. This gave us the opportunity to help out and care for the animals and plants on the farm and build our resume for future housesitting jobs. We can now consider ourselves competent pig, chicken, and turkey caretakers. I even successfully kept a large garden alive for an entire week, maybe my black thumb is slowly fading.
