Times, They are a Changing

Two days ago we were trying to decided what the next few months and even years were going to look like for us. We have plans to head to Europe in August and stay there until Christmas, then probably back to Puerto Rico and more airline travel after that. That is over 18 months of non-RV travel. No problem, there are plenty of places to store an RV and we are on some waitlists for military base storage. However, on Sunday we came up with an idea of trying to see if we can sell the RV in the week we have remaining in Jacksonville and alleviate our storage need and allow us to have a fresh start when we decide it is time to RV again.

The last time the kids were in Europe they looked like this!

To be honest, I think Chris is just optimistic that he can get me to finally agree to buy a boat and travel that way instead.

Final camping spot with our Couga

Sunday night I posted the RV for sale on some free sites and woke up to a few inquiries Monday morning. Those inquiries quickly ballooned into more and we had our first showing at noon that day. Luckily we had an hour heads up to make it look like we owned nothing and didn’t live in the RV (to use Jack’s words).

There is no time in history where there is nothing on the kitchen countertop, unless we are trying to sell something!

Our first showing was a success and we have received a deposit for the RV and anticipate delivering it this weekend. Next problem, what to do with all of our things!

Back to Facebook marketplace and we became the crazy person writing any cargo trailer that looked decent and offering to show up as soon as they were available and throw cash at them if only they would chose us to sell their rusted out, dilapidated hunk of junk to. (Just kidding, we have some standards!)

New hotness that is going to carry all my gear

Today we drove back to the campground towing a new to us 6×12 cargo trailer and Chris has already started loading things into it.

I’m happy the RV is going to a great new home and looking forward to our continual adventures!
