We have been lucky to be camping with four other families this past week and we decided to get together and share Easter dinner. One family has relatives in the local area and a connection in a near-by town. He reserved an airplane hangar for all our crew to join together with his family and make a wonderful meal while on the road.
Chris and I made the turkey and ham. Our favorite way to cook a turkey is via a trashcan oven and we were able to show the others the joy of a trashcan turkey. At 25 pounds, this was the biggest turkey we had ever cooked, but it turned out beautiful!
The food spread was delicious and no one went away hungry. Happy Easter from Georgia!
