The RV has one retractable awning and it has been slowly failing. We are lucky that the way it is failing is due to sun damage on the fabric, a much cheaper repair than motors or arms. I have been using awning repair tape for the past few months in an attempt to delay that project but while in Florida I came to the realization that we were losing the battle and the better thing to do was finally replace the fabric.
Lucky for me there are a few RV technicians that are camping with us and one was able to lend his expertise.
We are enjoying the new awning and I’m so happy that we decided to make this improvement. Now it is time to tackle our next project.
