For the past two weeks we have been surrounded by 23 other RV families. We all met up in Yuma, Arizona, for four days of preparation before hitting the road in a giant caravan to San Felipe, Baja, Mexico.
The group we joined this year, Fulltime Families, put on events throughout the day. We had morning adult coffee talks, football on the beach (Jack loved it), evening pot lucks and campfires, and of course a Halloween bash complete with trick or treating!
We were lucky enough to be in San Felipe for their annual Shrimp Festival. The town came alive with food booths, shrimp items to purchase, music, and amusement rides!
We ate tacos for almost every meal and enjoyed the fresh seafood too. We also made space for some fresh churros.
The beach in front of our campground was full of bricks and rocks at the low tide line, a remnant of the hurricane that had hit the area a month before we visited. But low tide was probably our favorite time because two large sandbars were exposed and that allowed for great shell and crab hunting, perfect football space and even paramotor launching.
It was a wonderful vacation and also space to meet new friends. We were even lucky enough to find 5 families to caravan back to the border with us.
