For our first full day in Glacier National Park I signed us up for a guided tour in one of the historic 1937 red busses. We met our guide at 8:30 (too early in the minds of the kids) and even though it was 47 degrees outside, he immediately asked for help converting our bus to an open air top.
Our all day tour took us from west to east and back again on Going to the Sun Road and even a trip down Many Glaciers Road. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the deck of Many Glaciers Lodge while watching people enjoy the lake. Yes, Chris was wishing he had his wing foiling gear and was eying spots that he could launch from. On our way out of the Lodge, we spotted two moose on the far side of the lake, eating. They were still there as the bus was leaving the lodge, so our driver headed nearer to them so the entire group could get a good view.
We still haven’t spotted any wild bears, but we keep looking! Luckily the scenery is pretty to look at too.
Beautiful park! It is one of my favorites! My other son, Tom, and his wife met up with a bear on a hike there! Be careful!
What a beautiful location
Still one of our favorite stops on the trip. Enjoy!!
