FUN DAY IN SWANSBORO

We attended a really awesome pirate festival in Swansboro on Saturday. There were people dressed up like pirates, live music, a puppet show and a pirate invasion. After the puppet show I got some REALLY good raspberry sorbet for only $3.50. There was also a fencing demonstration, which was super cool! They were fighting like pirates, so one guy almost got kneed in the groin! Fortunately the marshall stopped the match before he could go through with it. Before they had the actual fencing they had sword fights with foam swords for the kids, and Aleah beat her opponent 3/2.

The band was really fun, we already knew most of the songs, but it was still cool because we could sing along. For most people the best part was probably the pirate invasion, but I hated it. It was to loud and the cannons really startled me every time, even if I was expecting it. We left before the festival was over because a thunderstorm was rolling in. When we got back to the RV Aleah and I played video games for a bit, then did our school work. After that we headed to the beach and surfed for a bit. When we got bored of that we played in the huge waves by the shore. It was much more fun closer to shore, because further out the waves would just fizzle away three seconds after catching them.
Excepting that, the day was very fun and I had a good time.
